Can you spend 4 days in Milan?
Think four days will be just right if you are wanting to stay in
Milan is the perfect city for a weekend trip. While you can visit the highlights in just one day, 2 or 3 days are the perfect amount of time to spend in Milan. By spending at least one night in Milan you'll be able to experience the amazing aperitivo culture and experience more of what this fabulous city has to offer.
Although there is enough to do in Italy to fill a week, we recommend a stay of at least 10 days in Italy for the complete experience. However, if you've only got two or three days in Italy, you will still be able to cover many of the main highlights of the country.
In Milan, all you need is a day to experience the highlights, whether it's visiting the Gothic Cathedral or shopping the high streets of the Quadrilatero della Moda. With more time, however, you can venture outside the city for a hike around the famous Lake Como.
You should be able to see almost everything in Milan in 3 days. As big as the city is, it's not on the same scale as Rome or London, so you can comfortably enjoy the city without rushing around. 3 days in Milan will give you plenty of time to see all the amazing sights in this great city.
Think four days will be just right if you are wanting to stay in Milano central itself. The Duomo - Via Dante - and Castello is the main tourist drag from what I have seen so far. Think a trip to the lake might be worth doing as I think it is only an hour away in the train.
It costs around €50-€90/day to visit Milan comfortably as a budget traveler. These prices are based on what you'll need to visit the city comfortably as a budget traveler. If you want to upgrade your accommodations, add another €80-€150/night depending on your stay.

How Many Days in Rome? Given the amount to do and see in the city, we think that 4 days in Rome is the absolute minimum you should plan for to avoid spending your entire trip running around from sight to sight without time to savor the atmosphere of the city and enjoy the dolce vita that makes Italy so special.
Five days is enough time to enjoy any number of activities in any region of Italy. If culture and history are your interests, then you can explore the ancient streets of Rome. If you want more of an active adventure, cycling through the famous wine-producing region of Tuscany is an option.
Should I stay in Milan or Rome?
However, it's always a good idea to stick to the general rules of caution that are applicable to all big cities. All in all, Milan is the right pick for you if you're eager to live in an innovative city. However, if you prefer an affordable city that is rich in history, Rome is the city for you.
Even travelers with limited time can see the highlights in as few as five or six days. Read on for the best itineraries, including Lake Como, Milan, and beyond. Christopher K. Subhayu S.
The best time to visit Milan is from April to June and September to October, when the weather is mild and there are fewer crowds. July and August are the busiest months, as well as the hottest. November to March sees cool weather and fewer tourists.
Day Trip Tours to Lake Como
This specific tour from Milan to Lake Como takes a full day (around 11 hours) and includes: Pick up from Duomo Square or Milano Centrale in the city. Visit to Como (with guided tour) Visit to Villa Olma (with guided tour)
Many think that Lake Como is a good stop for a couple of nights and then they should move on but they are mistaken. 2-3 days are not enough to explore Lake Como and its surroundings! Lake Como is the perfect location for a longer stay – even a week or more – in Northern Italy.
Milan has been recognized as one of the world's four fashion capitals. Many of the most famous luxury fashion brands in the world have their headquarters in the city, including: Armani, Prada, Versace, Moschino, Valentino and Zegna.
Milan is a fantastic city for wandering with so much within walking distance and if you need to speed things up a bit the Metro is really handy. There's something for everyone in Milan and it is absolutely worth visiting if you plan a trip to Italy. It's certainly on our list to visit again.
Is 3 days enough in Lake Como? From our experience, you can easily see the highlights of Lake Como in 3 days. However, as we really fell in love with this charming region, we would have loved to stay longer to soak in the beauty of Lake Como for some more days.
Yes – one day in Milan is enough to explore the city's most popular attractions. In just one action-packed day, you can visit the Duomo, see Da Vinci's Last Supper, sample famous Italian cuisine, visit museums, and more.
If you mean a 3 course meal with wine in a decent Italian restaurant in the central area of Milan you are looking in the 40 to 80 € range, per person. As a rule of thumb, stay clear of restaurants around the Duomo. These tend to be real tourist traps, with average food at best and hugely inflated prices.
Is Paris or Milan cheaper?
Paris is 19% more expensive than Milan. Dec 2023 Cost of Living.
And while most things in Milan aren't exactly cheap, you can definitely travel here on a budget. Especially when flying with a budget airline, picking affordable accommodation and only doing the things you really want to do, Milan doesn't have to break the bank.

Tipping isn't the norm in Italy like it may be in North America and some other countries in Europe, but it is still appreciated. Feel free to leave a small amount if the service has been particularly good. In taxis, tipping is not expected, but if rounding up the charge makes life easier, go for it.
