Babe, is everything ok?? You've barely looked at the Entergy outage map today.
Nich (@lapeyrouse_nick) reported fromMetairie, Louisiana
@lofisouls @eflynt @Entergy Seems pretty hard to bury them under the Mississippi’s river…. Spend 2 years to special build a cable and then do earthwork on levees to situate it? Just give me a stronger transmission line next time
Chris Welty (@Chris_R_Welty) reported fromGretna, Louisiana
@Entergy based off other storms, power could be out more than a week depending on storm strength. Leaders are pleading for people to evacuate. @WGNOtv @JeffParishGov
HughCarmichael504 (@Audioman504) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
They're (Entergy Power), saying New Orleans and Jefferson are basically an island as far as power restoration is concerned the eight transmission lines are (still) in the river, the tower is a crumpled mess. There's no near time fix for this...but this two shall pass..
LyndaIBelieveWoolard she/her (@LyndaWoolard) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
@WWLTV Not really very impressive. What a catastrophic eff up this has been. Every other system held. The city would be back up and running if not for Entergy. We need to take the power back from the monopoly.
Mh. (@muhriyahhh) reported fromHarvey, Louisiana
I WILL NOT BE WITHOUT POWER FOR SIX DAYS AGAIN. @Entergy
HughCarmichael504 (@Audioman504) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
Water pressure going down so flushable power is diminishing in New Orleans, power cannot be restored for the foreseeable future according to Entergy, but we're still not as bad off as Laplace, Slidell, Tangipahoa...some people are having to deal with flooding, fires, tree damage.
Becky G (@beckyg504) reported fromBridge City, Louisiana
According to Entergy’s power outage map, I still have electricity in Lakeview
Rachel Watkins (@RWatkins66) reported fromTerrytown, Louisiana
@MargaretOrr power out in Gretna, close to Post Office by Gretna Blvd. No answers. Dad 94 ,thank God I am here & have flash lights. Entergy says 5am. Not even a storm. Say what?
Techno Nanny (@JMoneyRed) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
@drewmmiranda SMMFGDH. 🤬🤯 Next time, I’ll re-attach my own blown-off solar panels to my roof for post-hurricane power, and it will be faster than this negligent trifling @Entergy BS.
Little Red Corvette (@princesshoped) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
Entergy is really disconnecting people and food banks are tapped out.. Evil’s karma is coming
David Hammer (@davidhammerWWL) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
I asked Mayor LaToya Cantrell if Entergy delivered on their promise to use new power station at Michoud to make our own power if all transmission lines from outside go down, as is the case now. She wouldn’t say and said she still has no timeline on restoration. @WWLTV
SWB New Orleans (@SWBNewOrleans) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
•Our Networks Department is using vac trucks to pump down sewerage lines. •The East Bank Wastewater Treatment Plant lost operating back up power; emergency procedures are in place to ensure sewer operations continue. Entergy is on-site to get power restored.
Techno Nanny (@JMoneyRed) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
@joshfoxfilm @Entergy With all due respect, our current public water system is a ******* disaster. It is grossly mismanaged and behind the times as well. In fact, it relies mostly on Entergy to power its pumps! This is not such a simple switch. Our elected officials are also mostly trash.
Matt Edens (@mgedens) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans: every damn thing we got is broke. Our infrastructure sucks. #Entergy @SWBNewOrleans @roadworknola #nola
Jessica (@jroy218) reported fromMeraux, Louisiana
If @Entergy cuts your service and you pay the bill the same day, how long til it comes back on?
Melanie Morel-Ensminger (@RevMelanieNOLA) reported fromGentilly Terrace, Louisiana
Good news: power restored 2 hrs ahead of Entergy’s prediction.
Jerry Jones Jr ☦︎ (@JerryMJonesJr) reported fromMarrero, Louisiana
It amazes me that this wind is still whipping like it is. Possibly out of power for a month due to a Entergy tower falling into the river. Still not out of the woods yet.
Payton Malone WWL-TV (@paytonmalonewx) reported fromNew Orleans, Louisiana
HEADS UP: Beware the green on the Entergy maps. It’s not always accurate. I live in an area with green but their isn’t any power. #BeOn4 #Ida
Darren (@DPerio) reported fromMetairie, Louisiana
Need power before the LSU game. Take y’all time tho, I’m not rushin @Entergy
Entergy Issues Reports

SM Love (@SuzanneMLove) reported
Interesting choice from @Entergy to hire my mother to handle all customer outreach after #HurricaneIda. I wouldn’t have thought her text style of pictures of random **** and unsolicited unhelpful advice would be the right choice for the situation.
Kevin Hartfield (@Originally_Kev) reported
Haven’t had power since Sunday no update from #Entergy as we go into another night without power
Brennan (@SpectreHavoc) reported
@Frankie81646194 @EntergyLA @Entergy how exactly should Entergy prepare? I dont need the whole run down as to why people are too weak to adapt or prepare for a storm themselves either 😕
Glenn Prechac (@GlennPrechac) reported
@beauvans You are totally correct sir. Furthermore, I’m just awaiting my new storm restoration surcharge from Entergy for #Ida. 12 years of monthly $$ reminders of the monopoly who failed us once again.
MANI 🌱 (@jaamanilove) reported fromMemphis, Tennessee
Not entergy sending emails about the bill being due and the whole city out of power…
Frankie (@Frankie81646194) reported
@SpectreHavoc @EntergyLA @Entergy Too weak to prepare?! Entergy is saying we’ll be out of power for 3 weeks and that we shouldn’t come back. An avg. hotel room is $130/night x 30 days = $3900/family. Don’t say I didn’t prepare because entergy doesn’t care about undue burden they are putting on their customers.
Sean (@AbolishPETA) reported
@Entergy Having real shotty connection so no updates is there an ETA for power in Ponchatoula specifically along Hwy 22?
The Good Bad Guy (@brisbanebee) reported
Let me cut my autopay off bc YALL NOT GETTING NAN DOLLA FROM ME TILL MY POWER BACK ON @Entergy NothingNathan Nada
Alan S. Drake 🇵🇷 Remember Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 (@AlanfromBigEasy) reported
@cbert71 @EntergyNOLA Design wind load was the same (Entergy planned to build a new transmission line to South Jefferson to a higher standard - 150 mph winds. Planned completion 2022) and winds exceeded design windsThere are multiple paths between 9 mile & NOLA. At least 5 to my limited knowledge 1/
Molly 🦩🍍 (@hashtagmolly) reported
New Orleans city council should pass something saying citizens can charge Entergy $50 per residence for every day without power. Also that Entergy cannot pass on the cost of infrastructure failures due to ****** maintenance to customers.
