The Pokémon GO Fest is an annual virtual and real-world event that celebrates Pokémon GO. Taking place throughout Japan, Spain and the United States, the Pokémon GO fest aims to provide fans of the game with activations, special in-game offers and other benefits.

The following Pokémon will appear in raids during GO Fest 2024: Global! Trainers who manage to win an Ultra Beast Raid Battle will be able to encounter Shiny Buzzwole, Shiny Pheromosa, and Shiny Xurkitree for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they're lucky!

Pokémon GO Fest 2024: New York City attendees may purchase a ticket for one day of the three-day event. One-day tickets are US$30 (plus applicable taxes and fees) and are available for purchase here. You will see “Tickets Available” next to the event listing if it hasn't sold out yet.

Completing the GO Fest: 2024 Sendai Park Escapade Special Research tasks rewards you with a Marshadow encounter. In addition, you will also get to encounter Sun Crown Eevee, Klefki, and different Pokemon GO items as rewards for completion.

Finding a Shiny Nightcap Snorlax

While there are some ways to work around this and catch the Nightcap Snorlax quicker, it takes some time to even get to the encounter. After that, though, pure luck kicks in. Finding a Shiny like Nightcap Snorlax is a 1/512 chance outside of special events.

Like Shiny Charmeleon, one can only obtain Shiny Charizard through evolution. Evolving a Shiny Charmeleon into a Shiny Charizard requires 100 Charmander Candy. Players can get the required Candy from Research tasks or by catching numerous Charmander.

How many times can you do a special trade? ›

Each player can make at most 100 trades per day, including up to one Special Trade*. If a Pokémon has previously Mega Evolved, trading it will reset its Mega Level.

Trainer level 10 is required for trading. Pokémon that have already been traded cannot be traded again. A limit of 100 trades can be done in a day. Special Trades do not count towards this limit, but they cannot be performed if the standard trading limit has already been reached for the day.

Limited 100% Lucky Trade

The requirements are quite strict: One of the Pokémon being traded must be from 2018 or older. The Trainer sending the guaranteed Lucky Pokémon must have been involved in fewer than 25 trades (as either a sender or recipient) where at least one party was guaranteed.

Special Trades Can Only Happen Once Per Day

Special Trades require a much larger amount of Stardust than a normal trade in Pokémon GO. As the friendship level between two trainers increases, the cost for Special Trades is lowered to a manageable amount, although it remains high.
